The Neue Schule Slimma Swales Pelham Bit is a 14MM - 7CM Shank bit and is designed to give control specifically for strong horses that are inclined to lean down. This bit is not suitable for a Novice rider or horse that does not fully understand the aids. It is very popular on show cobs that set, lean and go! This is the only Neue Schule Pelham to remove poll pressure and increase curb action. This clever design is brilliant to combat strong rude horses and/or those with a tendency to lean down. Lightness and outline is encouraged and any tendency to over bend is usually eradicated. Many horses do over bend in other Pelhams possibly due to the poll pressure. The combination of the mild Slimma mouthpiece and Swales cheek is excellent for use on a horse that fully understands the aids. Only recommended for riders with an independent seat and sympathetic hands.
